After making a promising debut in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Prateik Babbar failed to live up to everyone’s expectations. All his releases after his maiden venture have been box-office duds. So it’s natural that none of the producers or directors are keen on signing him for any of their upcoming projects. Hence, it came as a pleasant surprise to the actor when he was offered to be a part of Ekta Kapoor‘s Box Cricket League on Sony Entertainment television. If not anything else, it gave him an opportunity to be on TV at prime time and thus, garner some attention.
Also, impressing Ekta would have only helped him in the longer run. Perhaps that’s why he readily agreed to be a part of the league. However, he showed up for only one of the matches and skipped the rest. Not to mention, it didn’t go down to well with Ekta. Well, we wonder why Prateik chose to rub her the wrong way considering this was an opportunity for him to redeem his career (a little) by becoming a household name and getting into Ekta’s good books.
Is Prateik’s acting career doomed? What do you guys think?
