We all know how important Rajshri movies are to Bollywood and we all know how important marriages are in Rajshri movies! So why should we not rate the Rajshri men according to the kind of husbands they make? Well, we did just that and the results are rather interesting. Please note that I haven’t taken ALL the men who played husbands/future husbands in Rajshri productions because they have made around 100 movies already. I’ve narrowed down my search to exactly three or four films which were nice to watch, and that doesn’t include Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon because that movie gave me, and most of the country a headache. So read on and tell me which boy is the best boy!
10) Prem (Ek Vivaah…Aisa Bhi)
Yes, I’ve seen Ek Vivaah…Aisa Bhi and yes, Sonu Sood is quite meh. He’s nice and all but just not worthy of being ‘Prem‘.
9) Ramkishan (Hum Saath Saath Hain)
Shocking that Alok Sanskar Nath is low on this list no? But come on, he was pretty whatever in Hum Saath Saath Hain, firstly for marrying Reema Lagoo whose friends call her ‘mummoo‘ in the movie and secondly because he made her look like the bad guy when he could have just asked her to calm down about the property stuff. Communication with your spouse is the key Ramkishan, when will you learn?
8) Professor Siddharth Chaudhary (Hum Aapke Hain Koun)
He just seems weirdly happy that Alok Nath had a crush on his (Siddharth‘s) wife during the time these guys chilled in college. Rather creepy. But on second thought I’d really like to watch a prequel of Hum Aapke Hain Koun where Alok tells Reema she’s hot but she goes with the smart man who’d be a professor some day!
Smart is the new sexy!
7) Prem (Hum Saath Saath Hain)
I know!! How can Salman Khan be placed so low! How! But hear me out, Prem from Hum Saath Saath Hain was an excellent son and even better brother…but fiancé? Not so much. He wasn’t expressive enough, he wasn’t passionate enough and he was ready to keep his marriage with Preeti on hold. However noble his reasons were, Prem isn’t the best husband in the world, at least in my opinion.
6) Anand (Hum Saath Saath Hain)
Yea, Neelam‘s husband whose brother throws them away and all. Quite sweet, loves his wife a lot but not important enough in the larger scheme of events. Good husband though!
5) Vinod (Hum Saath Saath Hain)
What a cutie! Vinod loved with all his heart. He knew he’d found his bae and he knew he had to keep her happy, even if her daddy was one of the guys who caused a rift in the family. Love Vinod, he’d be a great husband! Fun, sexy and hot.
4) Rajesh (Hum Aapke Hain Koun)
Mohnish Behl was perfectly cast as the sweet, dedicated and soft spoken Rajesh who loved to paint when he wasn’t doing some big-ass business work. He was also a wonderful husband to Pooja, his only issue was that he was ready to marry Nisha within like what…DAYS of his wife’s death. Yes, I know his reasons were noble too (with a newborn and all)….but were they really noble? Really? (I’m gonna get so much hate for this).
3) Prem (Hum Aapke Hain Koun)
So cute! Salman as Prem would be number one husband if only he hadn’t agreed to let his girl marry his elder brother. Yes, very sacrificing but come on man! You love her! You can’t just let her get married to anyone…especially your brother! That’s just sick.
2) Vivek (Hum Saath Saath Hain)
Vivek babu was everything a girl would want in her husband. #NiceGuyVivek
1) Prem (Vivah)
But when it comes to the top spot..it definitely goes to the Prem played by Shahid Kapoor in Vivah! He was charming, funny, adorable and eventually showed how true his love was by marrying a heavily scarred Amrita Rao. Prem’s prem was deep and that’s what makes him the perfect husband!
Which one would you take home to meet the parents?
