I’ll be the first to admit that this blog is a little fashionably late, but I just wanted to post it anyway because Delhi, sometimes I love you. Especially when I get to see my favourite faces on the capital’s fashion scene! So here are 16 things I loves about my last visit to the city, for the launch of Bvlgari India!
1. Bling Bling!
(Ok, so this one isn’t strictly Delhi, more like en route, but it has become my favourite knick knack stop out of Bombay airport, because I inevitably pass it each time I’m heading to the boarding gates! Accessorize has some of cutest midi rings, necklaces & ear studs and I’ve been buying them up in every shade of metal 🙂
2. The Welcome Gift.
The first thing I spotted when I walked into my room at the Taj was this delightful (and deliciously aromatic!) candle from Bvlgari. Why thank you kindly, besides what’s a double “g” amongst friends? 😛
3. Wah Taj!
FYI, tea-time at the executive club is a sweet deal at the Taj Hotel. Such a great way to decompress after a flight and prep for a fancy night out.
4. My GG Swag!
My stylist Marv D’Souza and designer Gaurav Gupta picked out this stunning liquid gold drape dress for me to wear to the event, (which I’m totally in love with btw!). So comfy and sexy at the same time. #Winning! (Oh and check out his amazing collab with Mawi at Lakmé Fashion Week.)
5. The Magic Garden.
The venue for the show was an exquisitely decorated ballroom at the Taj, all prepped and ready for Anamika Khanna to sparkle up a storm!
6. Pen Pals!
I was also delighted to run into my fellow journos, Narmata Zakaria and Malavika Sangghvi again, after all our Spain adventures together. In fact Malavika even introduced me to her handsome son Raaj Sangghvi and now we all play Twitter-tag! 🙂
7. Classy Miss Khanna!
The show itself was breath-taking; Anamika Khanna is undoubtedly one of the best designers of our generation. The collection was both regal and timeless, bubbling with champagne tones and silhouettes that simply glided down the runway. Take a closer look at the way the jewellery and the garments effortlessly complimented each other. Just wow!

8. These Guys!
I got to sit with Manav Gangwani and Gautam Kalra during the show and they were just adorable! (I love when people in the fashion biz support each other so unabashedly.) Anyway you look at it, that’s good fashion karma! In fact Gautam was helping me taking pictures on his iPhone the whole time and I owe all my crystal clear clicks of the show to him :), love you G. <3
PS. I also noticed a beaming Tarun Tahiliani give Anamika a standing ovation across the ramp, which I thought was just darling!
9. InstaLove
Now look at the message Manav left us on Instagram! Isn’t that adorable?! I only spotted it today and am currently sitting her grinning at my laptop, yay! 😀
10. MissMalini x 2
I also always get a kick out of running into THIS firecracker because Malini Ramani is the most gorgeously bliss-ed out free-spirit I have ever met. Plus just look at that dress!
11. Model Behaviour!
Post show cuddles are pretty much a norm at most fashion events and I caught these cuties giving Gaurav Gupta a squeeze after the show.
12. #GeekChic
Psst! How cool is it that THIS is what my senior management meetings with Nowshad, Mike and Sujal look like on Skype when one of us is traveling? So fun! #TeamAwesome 🙂
13. Sweet Dreams.
When I got back up to my room there was a surprise movie night waiting for me, along with a friendly little nightcap and a poetic carnation 🙂 #Perfection
14. Hello Bvlgari!
The next afternoon I was invited to lunch at the Emporio mall store to take a closer look at everything that sparkles…
15. Anamika’s Message For Team MissMalini 🙂
And you know what’s super sweet? When I ran into Anamika the next day at the actual store launch she gave me this adorable message for my team!
16. My Fuzzy Little FrENDI
And LOOK! Fendi gave me this awesome QUTWEET swag for my bag! (What’s a QUTWEET?) FYI, she’s SO fabulous, she only has macaroons for breakfast and I think my Cosmo outfit for the December party issue was inspired by her too 😛 Well played “Qutee” and Delhi, I’ll be back! xoxo
