After a shocking weekend, Happy Ending didn’t really show any improvement over the week, hence turning out to be a major commercial disappointment. Though the chances of revival were slim after the weekend didn’t spell any good news for the film, one may have hoped that there would be some miracle around the corner. None of that happened, though, as just around 20 crore* came at the close of week one, hence resulting in the film folding up much before expected.
While this is certainly not a happy ending for those associated with the film, it is time for them to move on. Saif Ali Khan now has Phantom to look forward to, which has director Kabir Khan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala teaming up. Eros has Action Jackson and Lingaa arriving in quick succession. Raj and DK are gearing up for beginning the shoot of Farzi, while Dinesh Vijan‘s Badlapur is looking interesting too.
As for Happy Ending, it could well get its due on the satellite circuits in the long run.
