You must have heard by now that during Arpita Khan‘s wedding, Salman Khan referred to Katrina Kaif as “Katrina Kapoor” when he tried to convince her to come on stage (to dance to Sheila Ki Jawani). At first, Salman called her by her real name, but the actress hid behind good friend Karan Johar in an attempt to avoid it. Then he tried “Katrina Kapoor,” and when Kat finally relented, Salman even remarked that he’d given her a good chance to be a Khan, but she let that go. The video is out for everyone to see, but there’s a lot happening behind the scenes as well. From what I hear, Katrina is still pretty miffed with Salman for this comment. I know that she wasn’t happy at all about being teased in public, especially since this incident became a big talking point after the wedding – that’s all most people were discussing!
It’s not just Salman she’s upset with, though – I’ve heard that she’s also irritated Karan Johar didn’t take her side and was actually enjoying the joke later with others. However, Arpita herself personally went to Kat and asked her to take the comment in good humor and not get affected by it. But since the video clip made its way online and many people have seen it, Kat felt the situation got worse. I have heard whispers, though, that Salman called Katrina later and apologised for passing that comment. Hmm!
