Last seen in Grand Masti and Krrish 3, Vivek Oberoi is currently busy working on Yash Raj’s Bank Chor. But despite his back-to-back shooting schedules, the actor recently took some time out and visited Srinagar. That’s because he wanted to initiate a program to rebuild and reconstruct a hospital and a school, which were was affected by the floods. Vivek has always been a philanthropist and he often contributes generously for the causes that he feels for.
When asked about his program in Srinagar, he said:
“I was there with the plan to reconstruct and expand both the structures. We will build more classrooms and provide more medical facilities. My group, One Foundation, has raised funds, but we need more. I will ask other NGOs, individuals and my celebrity friends to contribute as well. There were a few hundred families present there. We distributed kangdis (earthen pots that provide heat), mattresses, pillows, blankets, cooking oil and other products used on a daily basis.”
Kudos to Vivek for coming forward and supporting a cause!
