So Arya Babbar is the 7th contestant to get the axe on Bigg Boss 8. After the first 6 eliminated contestants were women, last week Sushat Divgikar marked the eviction of the first male contestant from the house. Arya followed suit this week.
Is it just me or was Arya the most entertaining once he was out of the house? Arya may have started out being touted as a strong contender, but he couldn’t sustain audience interest in him for too long. When the season started, he was being called the next Armaan Kohli but he didn’t match up to the name even a little bit.
However, when he got eliminated is when he was the most fun!
Here’re 5 revelations by the man that, I think, if made inside the house, would’ve given the audience enough talking points on the show:
1. Arya Is An Author. WTF!
So apparently, Arya’s main reason to come on the show was so that his book gets a platform for promotion. Yes, Arya has written a book that’s due for a January release titled, My Fiance, Me and #IF**kedUp. Take as long as you need to process this information. Interestingly, the book in question has not once been spoken about in the house. Just, how was the book going to get a platform if he never spoke about it? Guess we’ll never know.
2. Arya Wants To Get Married
On the premiere night of the show itself, Arya had announced that his mother is expecting a bahu from the Bigg Boss house. I said it then and I’m going to say it again – how undesirable do you have to be to come to Bigg Boss for a wife? However, he never made any attempt in that direction on the show. Maybe if he did, he would still be in the house. What do you think?
On his eviction night, he told Salman Khan that he’s going to get married now because this is the first time he’s had the chance to spend time by himself and that’s caused him to take this decision. So a house full of people – as opposed to your own home – gives you the opportunity for soul searching? Interesting.
3. Arya Turns Love Guru
After his big declaration about wanting to get married, he advised Salman to go inside the house too. Arya called his Bigg Boss journey a “man changing experience.” We wonder what that means.
4. Arya’s Bro Code
Arya has always been very vocal about his affection and feelings towards Upen Patel and has always said how he reminds him of his own brother, Pratik Babbar. He took the bromance up a notch as before leaving, he said “Tu Upen Babbar hai ab, aur main Arya Patel.” Awww. That was pretty sweet.
5. Arya The Cool Cat
Armaan Kohli can go back to his kholi because Arya is NOTHING like him! (See what I did there?)
Arya remained cool and calm even after he was shown the clip of people bitching about him. He did not leave the show screaming and shouting. Just wished everyone luck and wished Upen his best. It was pretty cool of him, I think.
