Now this is one director-actress jodi that has worked time and again. So much so, that they are aiming for a hat-trick now with Action Jackson. Even though Prabhu Dheva has been accused of presenting his leading ladies in an out and out massy manner, which at times may seem a tad aggressive – and regressive – to some, Sonakshi Sinha is not taking it to heart. Understandably so, as together they have already delivered a couple of major successes in R… Rajkumar and Rowdy Rathore. Sonakshi says:
If a film of ours was socially unacceptable then why would it do so well? See, these are only topics of discussions between so-called class audience which forms a very small section of society. Everyone has an opinion and I believe it is unwise to sit back and cater to everyone’s whims and fancy. If his films were presenting women in a manner that they shouldn’t have, people wouldn’t have accepted them.
With her song-and-dance number Keeda gaining popularity as well, Sonakshi is looking forward to the Ajay Devgn starrer, which is one masala entertainer where she seems to be really enjoying her stint as a quintessential leading lady.
See, there is always a particular kind of entertainment that people will always appreciate. That has been going on for the longest time. When a movie has mass appeal, it would click with the audience. Personally, if I am leaving a mark in a particular way then it is a good thing. I enjoy doing what I am doing in the films. That is the main essence of Indian cinema where singing and dancing is an integral part of the narrative.
Well, with a couple of more dance numbers waiting to be unveiled, Sonakshi and Prabhu Dheva are indeed going to bring in a lot more dhinchaak element on the big screen for the audience.
