That’s right, I’ve done it kids! I’m dancing again and with none other than the Shiamak Davar dance company! Now granted it’s been over a decade (eeps!) since I last danced on stage….
…BUT I think if the spirit is willing, it doesn’t really matter if the flesh is weak! 😛

So I’m hoping to work my way BACK into the glittery spotlight, even if I have to get there on my hands and knees! Please wish me luck, or better yet, come join me! We had the BEST time today at the neon rain dance in town for the Monsoon Funk batches (Go Pro footage coming soon!) I finally met Marzi Pestonji (Shiamak’s ace choreographer and Dance India Dance judge) who was super sweet and very funny. He also managed to drag me into the rain to dance and I’m so glad he did!
Psst! The Winterfunk instructor is Rohan Pherwani and he’s awesome sauce, with a side of very Ranveer Singh-esque masala attitude, #loveit 🙂
PS. Special props to my new dance buddy (ex Shiamak dance instructor from Melbourne) Sahil Shah (who we affectionately call “Jugal” because – you guessed it – he has those “Masoom” eyes..!) He also happens to be a cameraman on my new TV show MissMalini’s World and has joined the class with me! Seriously, too much fun and an excellent work out. Total win win. Do it, do it, do it! 🙂
Oh and as I recently discovered, Villa 69 has an utterly EPIC Bollywood night on Fridays so as soon as I’m back from Wills India Fashion Week in Delhi, I’M THERE. Who’s in?
