We told you earlier that Finding Fanny had opened well at the box office, and it looks like their good run has continued. Despite being a small film with a niche appeal, it has gone on to do great business and is now being referred to as the “break-out film” of the year. From what we hear, the makers are very happy with the way the film has been received, and are glad that their marketing plan – which stood out from your average film’s promotion – worked for Finding Fanny.
The film got generally good reviews and positive word-of-mouth, which have helped in making it cross the 30 crore mark. In it’s second weekend (Friday – 70 lacs, Saturday – 1.05 crore, Sunday – 1.30 crore), the film collected 3.05 crores, putting it’s overall collection at 31.14 crore nett in India.
Psst! Stay tuned to TLC India this Friday at 7:30pm for a chat with the cast, including Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor and Homi Adajania! In the meantime, tell us in the comments below whether you think that Finding Fanny is indeed the break-out film of hte year.
