We gave you the first recap of Bigg Boss 8 yesterday an here we are again!
Day 2 in the Bigg Boss house has ended rather uneventfully. As usual, till now, all the contestants are all together, laughing and cracking jokes. Of course, they know just as well as we do that this wonderful banter is not going to last long. The person who has proved most irksome, according to us, is definitely Arya Babbar. We are calling him Too Much Cheese, henceforth.
For now, we guess it’s okay to see these middle aged professionals behave like High Schoolers and giggle about which boy an girl shared a water bottle (Minissha Lamba, Too Much Cheese), and which girl decided to rest her head on which guy’s lap (Sonali Raut, Gautam Gulati).
Amidst all the nonsensical chhed chhad, if there’s some serious potential we see, its between Upen Patel and Sukirti Kandpal. They both are slowly but surely warming up to each other. Just when you started believing in Bigg Boss’ impeccable cupid magic, the promo of tonight’s promo of the show has Upen snapping at Sukirti. And if that wasn’t enough, when the lady started crying about it, Upen dissed her saying “yeh sab drama hai!” Ouch.
Interestingly, Upen is proving to be quite the Casanova too. All the girls are clearly giving him more attention than the rest. But well, he has Praneet Bhatt (too sweet for BB), Arya (ugh) and Gautam Gulati for competition; so that’s really not saying much. Diandra Soares, who has known Upen for years now, vouched for his casanova image half jokingly.
Also, is it just us or is Soni Singh working a little too hard t get Upen’s attention?
The Secret Society had the best twist on tonight’s episode. They withheld 6 contestants’ baggage. that the contestants needed to earn back by answering a few questions. The questions put our contestants in a spot as they asked things like Who accoridng to you is the most fake person in the house? or Whom do you hate in the house? or Who is the dumbest in the house? etc.
Our favourite moments from this round were two. One, when Upen ranked all the women in the house, as asked by SS, from the hottest to least hot, he didn’t flinch at all. He pinned Natasa as the hottest and put Diandra at the bottom as he could get away with it given their friendship.
Two, when Shakuni Praneet called out Gautam for not being the brightest bulb in the house. Truer words have never been spoken.
While some bags were returned, some are still in the SS custody. Diandra has announced that she will roam around in a bikini if her bags aren’t returned and she has no quals about it. You go girl! Apart from her, we wonder what frustrations not having their stuff would cause. Like sleeping in reclining chairs wasn’t bad enough.
Speaking of sleeping, everything comes at a prize in the Bigg Boss house. For all the contestants to sleep, two people had to stay up the entire night. When this was announced by the SS, everyone raised their hands to volunteer. Aww. Look at them wanting to selflessly sacrifice for others’ benifit on the second day in the house of horrors. Let’s see how long this will last! Finally, Upen and Gautam are staying up the night, which will obviously have them roaming around sleeplessly with too many feelings tomorrow and we are really looking forward to that breakdown!
In all of this, we have our eyes set on Karishma Tanna. She’s just giving out that vibe that she will be someone to watch out for on the show. Also, Sushant Divjikar should have one trick too many up his sleeve (if he ever wears any, that is!)
