Call Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham anything a melodramatic tear jerker, over the top extravaganza (I call it all of that) or something worse, but you can’t deny that the movie is epic in every way! The star cast, the sets, the costumes, the story, the songs and above all, the characters! Every character is unique and memorable, but honestly, in a cast that has Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Hrithik Roshan it was Kareena Kapoor who stood out. I don’t think any other character from K3G created such an impact on young girls (I was young once upon a time) the way Pooja a.k.a Poo did. Kareena OWNED this role and that was when we all knew Bollywood’s own Queen Bee had arrived!
