Two of the biggest world-wide recognized celebrities are coming together for one live television extravaganza! The Badshah of Bollywood and TV Svengali Simon Cowell are coming together for a first-of-its-kind live television extravaganza that will change the face of television and live events in India!
If Simon Cowell has been seen judging the Idol Franchise, X Factor Franchise, and Got Talent Franchise, then the Bollywood Superstar is also as popular of a television celebrity and has been seen hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati, Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hai, and Zor Ka Jhatka, the Indian Versions of Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader, and Total Wipeout respectively.
Many details of the huge live TV event are still being kept under wraps, but inside sources have revealed that Rav Singh, Director of RFS Entertainment, is also involved in the project. Singh stated, “Simon Cowell and Shah Rukh Khan will be teaming up for a live extravaganza that will redefine Indian television. We are bringing these two global household names together.”
Another source revealed, “It’s big news when Simon Cowell one of the most powerful and influential names in the world joins forces with Indian superstar Shah Rukh Khan, an actor who has a massive fan following both in India and oversees for a live ,first-of-its-kind show with global appeal. This will be one of the most ambitious projects in terms of the capital involved as well as vision in the history of Indian television and this announcement will change the face of TV and live events in India.”
If sources are correct, then the project will involve Shah Rukh Khan hosting a live extension of Simon Cowell’s “Got Talent” franchise, and it will be an event taking place in early December at Mumbai’s Andheri Sports Complex. If that’s the case, it should be fun to see who the talented individuals are that Cowell and Khan are able to find to entertain such a huge audience live!
On a side note, Simon Cowell was able to create the well-known and successful band One Direction, so it’ll be interesting to see if Cowell is able to find someone in India’s booming population that he could also take interest in! It’ll also be exciting to see how Shah Rukh Khan hosting the event will be different from the show India’s Got Talent that has been on TV in India since 2009.
Simon Cowell is known for his blunt and rude attitude, and Shah Rukh Khan is skillfully witty, so the combination of these two working together should be unforgettable!
