Channel V’s teen crime show Gumrah – End Of Innocence, is all set to make a comeback with its 4th season. Starting on the 31st of August, this season’s theme is #NoOneIsBornACriminal.
The brand new season will have a brand new host – the very dishy Abhay Deol. Buzz is that the popular Karan Kundra, who hosted all the previous seasons, was let go. One reason for the replacement was apparently that the makers were not happy about Kundra being in the news constantly for his on and off relationship status with Kritika Kamra and wanted someone with a more sober image. Also, the fact that Karan went ahead and signed Channel V’s rival channel MTV’s Fanaah was seemingly the final nail in the coffin. Ouch.
Interestingly, Gumraah’s co-producer Vikas Gupta isn’t part of the team anymore either as he is now the programming head of MTV. We hope too many changes doesn’t end up making the show too much of a stranger!
Well, this will be Abhay’s second stint on the small screen as he hosted Zee TV’s Connected Hum Tum last year. Abhay said in a statement “The idea is to not only educate parents, families – but also the youth.”
With Abhay on board, we hear that there are chances of a new celebrity in every episode. Also, he will provide our daily eye candy dose on the tube!
