After she stunned the world with her melodious voice in Ek Villain, Shraddha Kapoor is back to wow us! This time, with a special Kashmiri folk song in the much awaited Haider. The actress will be seen crooning with her co-star Tabu, who has lent her voice for a song titled Roshe Valle. Apart from singing in the film, it is said that both the actresses will also perform live at the music launch of Haider.
Director Vishal Bharadwaj, who has also composed the music for the film, has confirmed the news, saying that both Shraddha and Tabu have sung a track each in the film. The movie will have ten songs with a few being part of the narrative, few being part of the background score and the remaining will see the actors lip-syncing. If you thought that these are the only two actors singing in the film, Kay Kay Menon too has sung a few lines! It will be interesting to watch these talented actors croon on-screen.
The award-winning lyricist, Gulzar, has penned down the songs for Haider. The list of accomplished artists associated with the music of the film doesn’t end here! Sukhwinder Singh, Rekha Bharadwaj and Arijit Singh are some of the other skilled singers who have sung for the film.
Haider is an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s much loved Hamlet and is set in Kashmir. The film, starring Tabu, Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Kay Kay Menon is set to release on October 2, this year.
