Vishal Pandya, the director who made his debut with Hate Story 2 has good reason to celebrate! First, his erotic thriller has done well at the box office and second, he has bagged a plum offer with the T-Series group. Bhushan Kumar, the head honcho of T-Series has signed on Pandya for an exclusive 3-film deal with his production house. Considering the film released just over a week ago, on July 18, this is a big achievement for the debutant director.
T-Series seems quite confident about their protégé and there are talks that the production house will take the Hate Story franchise ahead by making a Hate Story 3, which might be directed by Vishal himself.
Hate Story 2, starring Surveen Chawla, Sushant Singh and Jay Bhanushali is a sequel to the 2012 hit film, Hate Story starring Paoli Dam and Gulshan Devaiah. The film is currently running in theatres and is a revenge saga where Sonika, played by Surveen, avenges the death of her lover Akshay, played by Jay. Sushant Singh plays the role of Mandar, a corrupt politician. While Surveen hasn’t signed another film yet, Bhanushali, will next be seen in the Sunny Leone starrer Leela.
