Ek Villain, which released on June 27th, was primarily an action thriller with romance and comedy thrown in, and we here at MissMalini.com felt that the fashion and overall style of the movie wasn’t noticed well enough. So this led to the necessity of a fashion analysis of Guru and Ayesha in Ek Villain!
We will be starting with the lead actor, Sidharth Malhotra, who played Guru, a softhearted gangster who falls in love with a simple college student. Guru’s style was very casual and soft-grunge. In quite a few scenes, Guru is seen wearing racerback tank tops (hello biceps!) and jeans. His forearm tattoo and tousled hair also add to the bad boy image.
Here we have Guru wearing a plaid flannel shirt paired with a necklace and a scruffy beard. Needless to say, we most definitely approve of Guru’s style!
Next up we have the lovely Shraddha Kapoor, who portrayed Ayesha, Guru’s bubbly love interest. Similar to her role as Arohi in Aashiqui 2, Ayesha stuck to long, loose locks, a look that we love on Shraddha. But this time around, her beachy hair had a touch of light brown at the ends. Extensions, maybe? Either way, it’s a unique, carefree look that suits her role.
Ayesha’s fashion sense is colorful and laid-back. We mainly see her in bright tanks, skinny jeans and beaded skirts. Our favorite part about Ayesha’s look is the accessories. Scarves and bracelets add a touch of fun and youth to all of her outfits!
There you have it! A filmy analysis of Guru and Ayesha’s style in Ek Villain. Both characters stuck to casual looks that seemed both comfortable and quirky. We think that Sidharth and Shraddha pulled off the outfits (and the roles) really well, and we love the emphasis on low-key yet fashion-forward style!
