There’s already been a fair bit of drama surrounding Drashti Dhami‘s exit from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, and while Manish Paul is rumoured to be her replacement, there’s no official announcement by the actor or the channel on whether this is true. At the same time, there are many more reports that suggest that Ranvir Shorey, the other host on the show, has also been asked to leave. There’s no confirmation about this as of yet, so no one can say for sure, but the rumours persist.
In fact, certain reports also suggest that VJ Andy, who was evicted as a contestant from the show, may be Ranvir’s replacement. Kind of difficult to see how that will happen, since Andy technically still has a shot at re-entering the competition via the wild card entry, which allows evicted contestants the opportunity to fight for a place in the show again. For that reason, we’re not really inclined to believe the news – and Ranvir has been doing a good job as host, so we don’t think he needs to be replaced – but this is the buzz doing the rounds currently.
Either way, we’ll know soon, but it’s odd that Jhalak is having so many issues in this season of the show – they’ve even lost guest judge Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who left the show after he couldn’t get past the language barrier.
