It’s another Friday in Bollywood (everyday should be a Friday in Bollywood, right?) and this week we’ll see the release of Fugly, featuring Mohit Marwah, Vijendra Singh, Kiara Advani and Arfi Lamba, three of whom are making their acting debuts. Sonam Kapoor showed support for her cousin by attending a special screening held yesterday. Sridevi, Anshula Kapoor, Siddhanth Kapoor, Kunal Rawal and more were also in attendance.
Sonam wasn’t the only one cheering on a family member, though – the entire Kapoor clan (sans Ranbir, who’s currently busy fighting in Cape Town) put in an appearance at the Lekar Hum Deewana Dil launch. They were there to show their support for Armaan Jain, who is Reema Jain‘s son. (For those unaware, Reema is Rishi and Randhir Kapoor‘s sister.) So yes, the Kapoor sisters – Kareena and Karisma – showed up, making the night quite a glittery one. I mean, it was a live A R Rahman concert, so it was already a huge event, but this just had to be the icing on the cake. Stay tuned for a full recount of the event, coming right here on the blog!
Speaking of Bebo, reports doing the rounds suggest the actress has just declined two films in a row – both of which seem to be fairly big ones. First, she said no to Sujoy Ghosh (of Kahaani fame), who came to her with the script of Durga Rani Singh. Interestingly, Sujoy has already heard no from two leading actresses, Vidya Balan and Kangana Ranaut.
Bebo has also turned down producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, with whom she did 3 Idiots! This film is a thriller starring Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar, but Kareena said no to director Bejoy Nambiar when approached.
In case you missed when we posted them last night, new papa Imran Khan just brought his little baby girl home! We have a bunch of cute pictures right here, so make sure you check those out and start your Friday on a good note.
Speaking of good note, here’s who is quite happy lately: everybody’s favourite, Jackie Shroff! Not only must he be pleased about beta Tiger Shroff‘s success with Heropanti, but he seems to have also received some international recognition! While in London recently, Jaggu dada apparently met with some producers who expressed interest in signing him on for an English project. The film will be shot in UK and Romania, but we don’t know any more details yet.
There’s a lot more happening in Bollywood as always, though, so stay tuned – we’ve got lots more coming up for you today. Not only that, but this is the day we debut our brand new Bollywood insider, who’s definitely ready to do a lot of jasoosi for you. Happy Friday, and happy reading!
