Here’s a fun little anecdote I heard recently: apparently, there’s something of a wager happening at the offices of Dharma Productions! In fact, this bet has pit two young, budding talents – that is, Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor – against each other. More specifically, it is about their two films, which, incidentally, have Alia Bhatt in common!
We know that Arjun and Alia’s 2 States has done extremely well, crossing the 100-crore mark at the box office. At the same time, Varun and Alia’s Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania has been creating quite the buzz, and, so far, the trailer has been well-received. Keeping that in mind – and the fact that Arjun and Varun are rivals – I hear that a few assistant directors at the production house were betting on which of the two will emerge more successful.
So which one of the two looks like the winner, according to them? Well, it turns out that the general consensus is that Varun will easily cross the first week figures of 2 States with his film, Humpty Sharma Kil Dulhania. Of course, we’ll have to wait and watch what really happens – but either way, Alia Bhatt is the clear winner here!
