Boman Irani and his son, Kayoze Irani are coming together to share screen space for the first time in Manish Jha‘s The Legend Of Michael Mishra. The director says that they are not playing father and son and have substantial roles in the film. “While I was editing the film, I saw how perfectly they had been cast for their respective roles,” he added.
Boman’s character is Full Pant while Kayoze plays Half Pant (such irony, this) and the film has been shot in Patna and Mumbai. Manish was apprehensive to approach Boman with this script but meeting the actor solved everything for him. “He is such a down-to-earth person even after being such a great actor. His son is also a great actor. I saw him in Student Of The Year and cast him without an audition. Even when we were shooting, everyone got along well. We had so much fun, I have it all on the rough cut of the film” he stated.
Kayoze’s debut in SOTY did not go unnoticed and we totally loved Sudo. But what would make it more interesting to watch them together would be the versatility on screen. Imagine daddy Boman’s charm blended with Kayoze’s fresh and promising acting ability. More so, the picture of them in their full and half pant is adorable!
The Legend Of Michael Mishra is produced by Eye Candy Films and also features Arshad Warsi and Aditi Rao Hydari. We think this is an ensemble of some of the best talent in the industry. Makes the film something to look forward to!
