Very recently, Prachi Desai shot for an item number in Mohit Suri‘s upcoming film, Ek Villain. The song, titled Awari, was offered to Prachi when she bumped into Mohit and expressed a desire to work with him. The director, it seems, then asked her whether she would like to make an appearance in the song, which the team is claiming isn’t a “quintessential item number.” Instead, they claim that Mohit wanted someone with a “tender, vulnerable face,” and as such thought Prachi fit the bill.
Well, I just managed to get my hands on two pictures that were taken during the song’s shoot, revealing Prachi’s look. The song was shot at Film City, and I hear that the cast and crew pulled up an all-nighter for this one as Mohit wasn’t happy with the first cut. The song will also have an appearance by the villain, Riteish Deshmukh.
Awari is composed and rendered by the Pakistani band Soch, and is a rock-style bar track that appears during a pivotal scene in the film’s post-interval half.
