Sand, sunscreen and sunglasses are synonymous with summer. While we either own the classic styles such as aviators, oversized or wayfares – you’re always looking for a fresh new pair. Here are 5 new styles that are extremely hot this season.
Circular:
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Deepika Padukone are fans of this frame. A new take on the traditional Lennon sunglasses, the circular sunnies are now oversized for a modern take.
Reflective:
Reflective sunglasses are the hottest accessory to covet this season. They’ve been spotted on the runways at Tommy Hilfiger and Versace while B-town ladies Priyanka Chopra and Sonakshi Sinha have sported them in various tints. My personal favourite has to be the blue ones. Remember when wearing these sunnies, keep the accessories on the minimum.
Cat-Eye Sunglasses
There’s something so femme fatale about cat-eye frames. Audrey Hepburn first popularised them in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The cat-eye frame has now been updated to be more geometric/squarish frame.
Tortoise shell:
A personal favourite, tortoise shell frames are instant chic. Choose from lighter yellowish hues or brown. Deepika was snapped at IIFA wearing Miu Miu frames while Miranda Kerr took a selfie wearing hers.
kooky:
If you really want to stand out in the crowd, choose something unconventional. We love the architectural shapes spotted at Stella McCartney at her spring/summer 2014 collection. Less adventurous? Try heart-shaped or star for a beach jaunt or picnic.
