So Coachella ended recently and we’ve seen Hollywood show up in droves. Decked out in their hipster best, they managed to pull off feathers, crochet, hippie headbands and even leather underwear… well Paris Hilton did anyway.
Sure they did a good job with their ‘exotic’ clothes and accessories, but don’t you think our girls from Bollywood would really be able to nail the look?
Which is why, these 5 Bollywood celebrities should definitely make a Coachella appearance next year. I’ve even picked out their outfits! Because in the end, it’s all about what you wear, isn’t it?
Deepika Padukone
This doesn’t come as a surprise. Take the matha-patti she wore to the Zee Cine Awards and pair it with the Shehlaa lehenga from her look at the Star Guild Awards – she’d fit right in, it’s a no-brainer.
I don’t think I need to pick out her clothes for her; whatever she touches is gold. Even so, Arpita Mehta has the perfect outfit.
Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt sometimes reminds me of Alice, from Wonderland. And Coachella is like a musical Wonderland. Take that Neeta Lulla maxi she wore for instance – I’d like to give it the Coachella stamp of approval.
The flower girl in her would totally work this look from Anupamaa by Anupama Dayal.
Lisa Haydon
Have you watched Queen? Need I say more? Ripped denims, boots, bikini tops and ear-cuffs. Lisa Haydon has already been through the perfect Coachella wardrobe. And that’s just in the movies. She seems to be channeling it off-screen too.
I’ve picked out 11.11 for Lisa; with her ‘I can pull off anything’ vibe, I’d like to see her in this.
Kalki Koechlin
Kalki Koechlin’s whole persona screams Coachella! Fuss free, effortless – the girl wears a crop top, trousers and a fedora and totally owns the look. I’m surprised she hasn’t already been spotted there.
I’m assuming she has a whole load of appropriate outfits stashed in her wardrobe. I’d still like to see her in this Dev R Nil.
Kangana Ranaut
It’s no surprise that both the Queen beauties made this list. Kangana Ranaut’s style is so versatile; the girl has carried off everything she’s ever thrown on. Sure she might give off that Lady Gaga vibe sometimes but nonetheless Coachella could use some of Kangana’s je ne sais quoi.
Payal Khandwala is one designer who’d be the perfect fit for Coachella’d Kangana.
