It’s April Fools Day, so some of our blogs today may not be entirely true! Be a smart reader and tell us which stories you think are false in the comments, and you may just win a prize!
A little birdy in Louboutins tells us that a young star designer has run herself into a fix with her latest collection at #WIFW. This celebrity child hit the runways a few years ago with her kitschy prints that were an instant success, so much so that the fabric markets are overrun with her fakes. She boasts the title of the youngest creative director in India to head a massive label.
Phone booths, lipsticks, cows, cameras – the very prints that brought this pretty lass success have now landed her in a soup! We’ve been told that she has been sued by a top bottled water manufacturer for using their bottle shape as a print in her latest collection. According to a press statement released by the water giant, “The designer has used a image of our bottle as ornamentation on her clothing. The bottle shape is our patent and has been used for commercial purposes without our consent. We cannot allow the brand image to be misrepresented.”
Misrepresented!?? We think bottled water is obsolete and nothing but manufactured demand! If anything, it’s free promotion for you! We got your back girl – don’t let the suits bully you!!
