Who doesn’t love television? I love staring at the idiot box after a particularly long day and watching some gripping or mindless shows (depending on how tired I am). However, since my world is very focused on fashion, I’m making a list of some of the most stylish women characters on television in recent times…
Wilhelmina from Ugly Betty:
Sky high stilettos, razor sharp tailoring and cinched in waists – not to forget that signature bob. Yes, Wilhelmina form Ugly Betty essayed the role of editrix of a fashion magazine to hilt.
Blair Waldorf from gossip girl:
Hands up if you loved Gossip Girl, I l got my weekly dose of sartorial gratification from this show – Blair Waldorf played by Leighton Meester played the typical Queen Bee with a tiara (read hair band) to boot. From tartan and tweed skirts, prim blouses and designer handbags, not to forget the beautiful ball gowns from the likes of Jason Wu and Oscar de la Renta. Blair epitomized classic dressing with an IT girl twist.
Serena Van der Woodsen from gossip girl:
Another character from the Gossip Girl series, Serena Van der Woodsen epitomized boho-chic. Layered easy, breezy pieces from maxis, tank tops piled with statement necklaces and not to forget, the thigh-grazing dresses that showed off Blake Lively’s shapely pins.
Claire Underwood in House of Cards:
Sure, Michelle Obama’s style is something we all love but if you want to really check out the power dressing, then is it has to be Claire Underwood from House of Cards. Shirts paired with pencil skirts and sheath dresses – the look is quite utilitarian yet packs a punch.

Essayed by Sarah Jessica Parker who eventually became one in her own right, Carrie was not afraid to take risks with her clothes.
