“This role has been mentally and physically exhausting,” confesses comedian and actor Vir Das on his next film, Revolver Rani.
Starring opposite Kangana Ranaut, Vir Das plays a toy-boy in the film who has many shades of grey. To satisfy his ulterior motives, he tries to woo Kangana Ranaut who plays the role of a politically active woman. Unfortunately, not all his actions to woo her are considered right or moralistic by normal standards.
Says Vir in a media statement, “I’m playing a role that even I’ve never imagined performing, before. Even though I play a toy boy, my character, Rohan, is pretty shady and in his pursuit to win her love, he’s willing to do anything for her. This is the first time I’m doing such an intense role. People will see a new side of me.”
The story is set in the Chambal and Gwalior region of India and Kangana will be seen, yet again, in a bold role.
