More news on Shuddhi. So much has been written about this film and even before it could go on floors, the cast has changed. The last we heard was that Kareena Kapoor might be out of the film as Karan Johar didn’t expect an actress to wait around. But as of this morning, Hrithik Roshan has dropped out of the film. In a statement, he said, “Karan Malhotra and I have decided to unite in the most ambitious way post Shuddhi.” Although he hasn’t cited a reason, we can assume he hasn’t completely recovered and the film cannot afford to be delayed any further. We don’t know who will star in Shuddhi now. Who are you hoping for?
So, we know Aditya Chopra has only directed 3 films. While he helms most YRF projects as producer and heads the company as well, a film directed by him comes almost once in every decade. His first film, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge remains one of the most successful films of all time. And now reports suggest that he might direct Ranveer Singh in his fourth film. That is major news, given that all 3 of his films have had Shah Rukh Khan in the lead and every actor wants to be directed by Adi Chopra. It’s not that surprising given Ranveer Singh is an amazing actor and was launched by Yash Raj Films. But lets wait for the official announcement before we get too excited.
There’s also news that Sanjay Dutt hasn’t finished dubbing for P.K. even though the film was shot in sync sound. Apparently, Sanjay was uncomfortable using the lapel pic. The actor is out on parole right now to be by his ailing wife’s side. But Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra are hoping he will find time to dub for P.K.
There are rumours that the Katrina Kaif–Aditya Roy Kapur starrer, Fitoor might not take off after all. The film has also been in the news for its casting. Earlier, Sushant Singh Rajput was to play the lead opposite Katrina Kaif. But Aditya Roy Kapur was signed on instead. Now, reports suggest Abhishek Kapoor, the film’s director may take on another project before this one.
