The last film before Jai Ho that Salman Khan appeared in was Dabangg 2. Jai Ho was a Salman Khan release after a gap of 1 and a half years. And given Salman Khan’s fan following, one just expects the film to rake in box office numbers. However, the collections aren’t matching up and the film can’t be called a box office success.
Sometimes, when a big film doesn’t do well, the production houses fudge the figures of their releases. And then give them out to the trade. However, Salman Khan was insistent that that shouldn’t happen in case of Jai Ho. He told Eros that he wanted the public to get accurate numbers and they shouldn’t be inflated or rigged.
In fact, going by his tweets, it seems that the dull performance of the film hasn’t really affected his spirit. He has thanked the audiences that have appreciated Jai Ho and started work on his next film, Sajid Nadiadwala‘s Kick.
