Two years ago, starlet Veena Malik tried her best to vamp it up and make it big in Bollywood by shedding her clothes and her inhibitions. However, none of it worked.
Apart from her Bigg Boss stint, a music launch, a couple of D-grade films and a forgettable reality show on television where she was supposed to choose a groom for herself, Veena has only managed to keep herself (barely) on the sidelines in Bollywood.
Now, we get news that the Pakistani starlet will get married to her husband, Asad Khan Khattak, in a white wedding gown, in the second week of March in the USA.
We can’t help but notice the dramatic shift in her style of dressing since she wed him in Pakistan.
From barely-there outfits to being all covered up, has Veena gone through a sea-change?
In fact, did you know that there were rumours of Veena having been married to banned Pakistani cricketer Mohammed Asif? These stories surfaced around the time of her Veena Ka Vivah TV show and it had the Indian television industry up in arms over the fact that she was cheating her audience by claiming to be unmarried.
While none of that was proved, Veena was also dating her Bigg Boss housemate, Ashmit Patel, at the time of the Veena Ka Vivah TV show. She brought in the 2012 new year with Ashmit in Dubai. The two seemed pretty much in love and for his birthday that year, Veena tweeted a lovey-dovey photo of them together.
Fast forward to June 2012 and Veena was being courted by another actor – Raja Choudhary. Best known for his violent streaks and for allegedly beating up his ex wife Shweta Tiwari, Raja claimed he would change his name to Raja Malik if Veena agreed to marry him.
Considering the fact that both of them are so controversial, they should have definitely gotten married.
We don’t know how long this “marriage” with Asad Khan Khattak will last and we don’t know if it’s just another publicity stunt to keep herself in the news. But before he ties the knot with Veena, he needs to check out these pix of her from our archives.
