Hey all! I am so happy to return as a guest blogger for MissMalini.com and the fact that I get to share what I just experienced in the Maldives with everyone makes me SO happy! I remember sharing my updates with you during Mr. Asia 2012 (where I represented India in Hong Kong and finished as a finalist in the top five countries out of 28 Asian and euro-Asian nations!) Well now I’m back with my little travel blog and I hope you enjoy it 🙂
So Maldives came calling this time for new year’s eve. And trust me, this is luxury at it’s very best. The sea is so crystal clear that you can take a picture of your own reflection, don’t believe me? Check out my Instagram!
Plus the fact that you get to be so close to nature and yet have all the possible eco-friendly luxuries around is, in itself, quite something! Before I go on I must to mention that if you want to spot heaven on this planet, just keep your eyes open when you are in that airplane taking you to the capital – Male
And when you have parked your ass on the island, life is going to get just SO beautiful! You could be riding around on your bicycle…
Eating some fantastic seafood and on top of it all, playing with the sharks! Yeah, I am not kidding! Supposedly, the sharks in the Maldives are ‘friendly’ and I went scuba diving with them for five days and even on one night! You can actually spot them as they pass by you as if you don’t even exist!
There is a different world down there, which is why scuba diving is a must do on your bucket list. I stayed on sun island while I was there which is one of the smallest inhabited islands in the entire world!
But you can take your pick, Maldives has no shortage of the most luxurious resorts! (In fact MissMalini documented her Club Med, Kani travels for you here.) And, yes, I suggest, you keep your sunscreen handy, although for me, I was very happy with my tan enhancer!
A little color on a man never killed nobody 🙂 So like I said, head to the Maldives and soak up some rays of life!
