Manyata Dutt has been unwell for a while now, which is the reason why Sanjay Dutt was released on parole for one month on December 21st. At that time, Manyata’s doctor had confirmed that she’s suffering from two health issues – cardiovascular disease and a tumorous growth in her body (on her liver, to be precise) that is cause for concern, although she did not undergo surgery. Now it has been learned that, unfortunately, Manyata was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday (January 7th) morning, as she had collapsed while at home.
Doctors, however, would not comment on whether the cause of her collapse was the tumour on her liver, as Manyata had asked them to refrain from commenting on her health. All they would say is that she is “quite unwell” and even indicated that she may not be discharged anytime soon. According to TOI, though, it wasn’t because of the tumour on her liver. She was apparently running a high temperature for around two weeks, and wasn’t feeling better even after taking antibiotics. Reports suggest that her left lung was filled with fluid, and that’s what lead to her collapsing. On Tuesday night, Manyata had to undergo a two hour long procedure to remove water from her lungs.
Another report says that a few years ago, Manyata had visited doctors to treat breathlessness and irregular heartbeat. Although she has been taking medication, reports suggest that in the past few months, her breathlessness had increased – leading to the doctors carrying out further tests.
Sanjay Dutt is said to have been at his wife’s side ever since she was admitted to the hospital. He can be out on parole until the 21st of January, completing his one month. However, if Manyata’s condition does not improve by then, he can apply for an extension.
