Nishka Lulla has certainly come a long way from designing a largely pink collection. The young designer has managed to carve her own niche in the fashion industry away from mother Neeta Lulla’s empire. With the likes of Kajol, Sameera Reddy, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kalki Koechlin being fans of her work, she is certainly one of the young guns that we all have to watch out for.
Lulla will be showcasing her collection that she designed for e-tailer Stylista at India Resortwear Fashion Week. The collection has been inspired by wanderlust and comprises of multi-layer separates in both solids and sheers. Expect to find classic patterns and versatile pieces that can be worn at any occasion. That’s not all, there are floaty fabrics that make for a fun layered look that is practical yet chic. Diffused from her previous collections, this capsule line has an eclectic mix of crop tops, dresses, trousers and jackets. Her whimsical doodle prints also feature prominently. The colour palette ranges from easy on the eyes minty greens and ice-cream sundae pinks to muted greys and soft lavender.
What’s more is this collection is easy on the pocket, with it being priced at below Rs 5,000 and will be available online soon after the show. We like!
