Model and actress, Dipannita Sharma, is a mighty happy girl these days. In an interesting quirk of fate, three lifestyle magazines have ended up featuring her on the cover, along with a feature inside, for their December 2013 issues.
“I think it’s interesting that in each one of them, I have a distinctive and different look. From a classic look on the New Woman cover to a sporty look on the cover of Krunch Today and finally to a bridal look for Wedding Times. I don’t think any one else has scored a coup like this,” she tells us during an exclusive chat.
Speaking about her cover for Perfect woman, Dipannita tells us, “The idea was to keep the look more dramatic. We sat on the look for a few days and zeroed in on a few classic looks to shoot for the cover as well as for the feature on me, inside the magazine. In fact, one look inside is inspired by Audrey Hepburn. We’ve kept that era and theme in mind. The gown I’m wearing is by Jyotsna Tiwari and the cover was shot by Bhawana Varma.”
Says Dipannita about her cover for Wedding Times, “The theme was NRI weddings and so we decided to go for a slightly bolder look than what a bride normally wears. I was styled in a short crop jacket, worn on top of a bustier and a lehenga worn like a skirt. The clothes were by Anita Dongre and the jewellery by Gehna jewelers. The images were shot by Ronnie Sequeria.”
And finally, says Dipannita about her Krunch Today cover, “Since it’s a fitness and lifestyle magazine, they spoke to me about wellness and fitness. I have advised people to do Tai Chi or join a dance class if going to the gym is not their thing. Again, the cover was shot by Bhawana Varma. The clothes were by Puma. And my hair was styled casually in keeping with the non-glamorous image.”
