Jingle Bells! It’s my 2nd favourite time of the year (after Holi!) and I thought I should take a moment to appreciate just how great this one has been for me 🙂 So here’s my little roundup of just some of the things that keep my life special! xoxo
1. Notes From The Universe
I get these awesome email notes from the universe everyday and this is what my last one said:
How cool is that?! FYI you should totally sign up for these cos they’re super uplifting and totally FREE! (I tend to open them on days I feel compelled to do so and the message is always perfect for what I’m feeling in that moment.) Almost as if your virtual BFF took the time to write you a little pick-me-up just when you needed it! So here goes Universe, I love ya right back, *mwah*
2. This Boy
Because he loves me and he gets me (and makes me yummy soup when I’m sick or sad.) He also makes my heart go bump when he walks into a room and I’m so very grateful he’s mine! 🙂 <3
3. This cake!
Because it kinda symbolizes the awesomeness that my friends & family all are 🙂 Plus, since our wedding Subha Jone Na De has pretty much become our group anthem!
Subah hone na de, saath khone na de
Ek doosre ko hum sone na de
Tu mera hero oo oo
Tu mera hero…
(It also just happened to be Hiren Kakad‘s birthday the other day and he is – without a doubt – the group’s very own real life Bollywood Hero!)
And we appear to have found him a stunt double! (Who happens to have been born the very next day.)
4. These Friends
Look! We had a little early Secret Santa party to celebrate and broke out our reindeer gear!
And nothing like a little bubbly to get you in the holiday spirit! Thank you Chandon 🙂
Oh and later that night we hit up Asilo, the spanking new rooftop bar on the 38th floor of The Palladium Hotel. Dude that place is ace! Massive, breezy and really high up. Exactly what Mumbai needs more of!
5. TEAM MISSMALINI
And last but not least – my dream team! Team MissMalini is my pride and joy and I am so blessed to have them. They work hard, they love what they do and allow me to challenge them to shoot for the moon and most of all they know how to have fun! It doesn’t get much better than this 🙂
And if you still need more proof check out our #OverheardAtWork highlights and random Dress Up Fridays. (Basically whoever has a birthday that month picks a theme and we go for it! Why? Well, why not?) So far we’ve done favorite 50s-90s Bollywood character, Bollywood Villains and Fashion Icons!
PS. I’m off to Dhaka for ten days for my brother-in-law’s wedding and I’m so excited! (And yes, we’re dancing to Bollywood songs so I’ll try to get you a video.) For now let me just say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! We’ll be back on New Year’s Eve to bring in the new year Bombay-style. Till then have a jingle bell time and feel free to leave me a comment and tell me what you’re grateful for too, I’d love it if you do 🙂
