As a fashion blogger, one of my biggest peeves is with Bollywood’s (or rather Indian’s) obsession with Bottega Veneta’s The Knot clutch or Alexander McQueen’s Britannia version. Don’t get me wrong I think they both have great designs but there are plenty more options available. Designers such as Olympia Le-Tan and Charlotte Olympia have been pushing the envelope when it comes to design. Also, if you’re in the mood to switch things up from your boring envelope or box clutches, help is on hand. I’m listing some of the most unusual clutches to carry around, trust me they will start the conversation at any swanky soiree.
Looking to snap up one of these babies, just keep these things in mind:
Keep your outfit simple. Don’t overwhelm your look with too many prints or patterns. Keep things streamlined with a simple dress or solid hued separates. Let your clutch be the talking point or rather the centre point of your ensemble. You could experiment with your shoes by choosing a nice pop of colour.
Olympia Le-Tan
Are you a bookworm? Love the written word? Then here’s a clutch for you. London born, French based designer Olympia Le-Tan. Her illustrated books feature classics such as Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy. Natalie Portman and Emma Watson are fans of her whimsical designs.
Charlotte olympia
Charlotte Della has fashion in her blood, she’s the sister of Alice Dellal, British supermodel. He line Charlotte Olympia has found fans in the likes of Katy Perry, Blake Lively and Keira Knightley.
Kate Spade:
New York born and based designer Kate Spade is known for her affordable designer wear. Her line of American inspired clutches have us wanting to tote them at the next fashion week!
I can so imagine Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone carry one of these babies.
