It’s the first time they have ever showcased their collection on the runway and Turquoise and Gold didn’t disappoint. The pulsating Spanish music set the tone for the whole show. The premium luxury resort wear collection was a perfect fit at India Resortwear Fashion Week. This time, they collaborated with UK based designer, Sara Burn, who has previously worked with Alexander McQueen. It sure has proved a successful collaboration as the clothes had a very international feel and quality to them.

The collection started off with white and stone gray hued garments and had ancient stone architecture as the inspiration behind it. Fringed capes worn over bikinis, one-sleeved swimsuits and dresses featured prominently. My personal favourites included the cut-out mono-kini and bejewelled white shift dress. The dress caught my eye the minute it hit the ramp.

The collection then graduated into brighter colours, with flowy cover ups worn over blue bikinis, maxi dresses and cut-out swimsuits. Cobalt blues, turquoise and oranges were used liberally. The outfits were paired with bold, gold statement jewellery, from hoop earrings to dull gold cuffs and oversized necklaces.

I do have to say I absolutely loved Turquoise & Gold’s hair and make-up. Juicy red lips and glossy locks with a hint of curls blended well with the collection.
