SINS – Synonym of Indian Style, is India’s first premium prêt fashion brand and it’s all set to launch its maiden exotic beach and resort wear collection called ‘Kalm Your Sutra’ that’s being helmed by a quad of talented, young designers namely Shikhar Vaidya, Deergha, Smirti Dubey and Ankita Haldar at the forthcoming India Resortwear Fashion Week in 13th December at J W Mariott, Juhu at 5 pm.
Given the diversity that the country represents, SINS aims at becoming the medium and skin that embodies the mix of spice and sanity of Indian Fashion which the global community is yet to taste. The collection centres on the bold theme of dual interlude and two-face duality in one’s society and is reflected on the prints of each garment. The edgy beachwear is made with Italian Carvico (a Poly Spandex Fabric) that makes it on par with international premium beachwear. Also fabrics such as georgettes, slub knits, voiles, chiffon, moss crepe, etc are used extensively.
The colours remain iridescent to the likes of emerald, electric and slate blues, canary yellows, cherry and crimson reds, lime greens, natural greys, smooth honey and exotic ivory.
“The collection showcases the duality of interrelationships which is represented in the designs of interlude with the colors and the graphics in the modern form of line work and space that the international audience is susceptible to” adds Deergha, Co-Founder & CFO of SINS. Elaborating further on the design of the collection, Creative Director of SINS, Ankita Haldar says that ”Edgy dual tone graphics are introduced while using the negative space in suave mood.”
Smriti Dubey, the Marketing head and Founder of SINS adds that “SINS smudges the fine line between ‘need to be’ and ‘want to be’.”
