When we were invited to visit The Tree House Resort, near the pink city of Jaipur, I could never have imagined the experience would be just SO incredible. Now I can’t wait to go back and do it all over again 🙂
VIDEO WALKTHROUGH
Here’s a list of reasons why we loved it – and trust me – the next time you’re looking for a different sort of vacay, (because you’ve done Goa a billion times already, like me) make sure this one is on your list, because Jaipur is the bomb baby! (And because trees are good for you.)
1. this is their motto.
At the Tree House Resort, Jaipur, a mere 34kms on the Jaipur-Delhi highway, special care has been taken to preserve the environment and plant literally, a million trees. It truly feels like a nature preserve and as your eyes soak up some revitalising greenery your heart knows this is just how it should be.
Huge bonus? The proximity between both Delhi and Mumbai, making it easy for friends to meet for a great weekend at an equally convenient location. Which is exactly what we did!
How cool are these stairs by the way? A little touch of Rajasthan goes a long way 🙂
Their nature shop had some deliciously aromatic incense and nature-friendly tees by Omved too!
Plus The Tree House Resort has recently expanded to include the Water House Resort with a series of rooms above a lake with a stunning view of your own personal waterfall.
WATCH SUJAL & SURELEE ARRIVE!
Look, even the Buddha is smiling 🙂
2. When’s the last time you slept in a tree?
TOUR MY ROOM
I mean seriously, this is every little grown up kids dream right? The luxury rooms or “nests” as they are labeled at The Tree House Resort are spacious yet cosy and very tastefully decorated. And in winter they supply heaters (one for your bedroom and one for the bath!)
One day when I decide to go underground and write the novel of my life, I hope this is what my room and desk looks like 🙂
And for the Pièce de résistance – ladies and gentlemen I give you LE TUB!
3. They rescue animals.
All the rabbits, turkeys, ducks etc that you will run into on your way around The Tree House and Water House Resorts have been rescued from around the area 🙂 when I went to see the ducks for instance they very politely stepped out of the water to say hello (and check if I had brought treats!)
The rabbits were just as adorable and spent most of the day playing catch by the pool. This is basically my dream life aka Alice in Wonderland 🙂
Ok, I’ll admit when we first saw them, the giant (and slightly stalker-ish) turkey’s kind of scared us…
But then the boys being boys, decided to make friends!
4. There’s a PRETTY blue pool.
I know this might sound fairly mundane but I cannot tell you how many resorts I’ve been to where the pool just doesn’t match the brochure. We were all very impressed to see this clean blue oasis nestled in the corner of the property and can’t wait to visit again once their heated infinity pool at the Water House Resort is complete.
In fact when we first arrived at 5am it was freezing but by the afternoon the sun was out and we spent most of the afternoon lounging by the pool, such a fab place to hang out! 🙂
5. The owners felt like friends.
Sudeep & Anvita who run the place are the sweetest couple ever. Plus these young proprietors definitely understand the urban mindset. They came by to chat with us and it felt like we were meeting old friends.
They also shared their vision for Jaipur and all the magic they believe exists here. This for example:
It takes a certain kind of earthling to make this transformation happen for real. The brainchild? Papa Sunil Mehta, a Jaipur businessman, for whom The Tree House Resort is clearly a labour of love.
6. A goLden golf course.
Now none of us are expert golfers but there was something seriously sublime about swinging a club on a course bathed in golden sunlight while breathing in farm fresh air. I’m guessing this is probably why Nowshie almost got a hole-in-one!
7. Pimp my Ride.
ATVs = All Terrain Vehicles are super fun to ride – on and off road!
WATCH US RIDING ATVs
We throughly enjoyed zipping around one afternoon and I’m proud to say I managed to avoid any hurdles be it a slow-moving cow or stationary bush. *Hehehe* here’s look at you Su!
8. Who doesn’t love cake?
We were very surprised and deeply touched when the excellent staff brought out cake and candles accompanied by a bottle of wine to celebrate Sujal Shah and Surelee Joseph‘s anniversary that we had just briefly mentioned in passing. They also made us a fire and tended to it all night so we were completely cosy!
Psst! That’s where we discovered a yummy new Italian red!
9. A Sweet Safari.
While we didn’t really expect to spot a wild cheetah or anything the quaint little safari they took us on was quite a trip. We ended up spotting a few very healthy looking deer and a few wild rabbits!
Most interesting discovery however was that peacocks sleep high up in trees! Did you know that?!
10. There’s a dedicated game room!
As you know I’m a huge fan of games and such 🙂 so when I discovered they have a dedicated room for them I was pretty psyched! Especially since that makes the resort it super kid friendly and gives you something to do indoors when it’s chilly or raining.
We also discovered the snooker room where I believe as of now the score remains tied 2-all boys v/s girls? (Funnily enough, the last time we played pool together was on a much smaller table all the way in Male, Maldives!)
ACTIVITY DAY FUN!
So there you have it, best tree house experience EVER! And now it’s your turn to visit 🙂 xoxo
