SrksQueen Asked: The Shahid – Priyanka Relationship? What happened there?
Industrywalla: This was probably one of the most underplayed and unnoticed break ups in the industry. The reason PC and Sasha broke up was simple – they had a clash of interests and lifestyles. Priyanka Chopra preferred going out, doing dinner with her friends Mubeena or Shrishti Arya, while Shahid Kapoor liked to sit at home and play video games.
If you remember his relationship with Kareena Kapoor also broke down because she couldn’t really take his controlling ways. (Although that rumour about him waking up his girlfriends at 5am to work out is so false.)
On a similar note, Priyanka started feeling stifled in this love affair. Plus she is the sorts who would love her man to acknowledge their relationship in public, which was something that Shahid wasn’t really keen on doing. The break up wasn’t as bad or ugly as people think, it was an amicable split and the two have managed to skip the awkwardness and stay friends or at least be coordial in public space.
