Krishna Mehta is one of the few Indian designers who focuses on using handloom and woven textiles to fashion her elaborate creations. At the recent Wills India Fashion Week in Delhi, Krishna debuted a collection fashioned from traditional Benarasi fabrics.
Working along with the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles and Government of India, Krishna showed off her summer 2014 collection consisting of a stylish mix of garments and accessories made from Jamdani, Kinkhab, Tanchoi and cut-work fabrics.
These fabrics are especially created using multiple innovative weaving techniques that complement the materials.
