Their last film together, Student Of The Year was also their Bollywood debut. And since then, young Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra (along with Varun Dhawan) went on to become darlings of the silver screen. The chemistry and magic three of them shared on screen made them superstars overnight.
Over the weekend in Mumbai, Alia and Sidharth officially launched the Dessange chain of salons and needless to add, their presence at the event caused a stampede.
Team MissMalini caught up with the affable stars and spoke to them about hair-care routines and other things beauty.
Watch below:
Read some highlights from the interview:
Team MM: What is your daily hair care routine?
Sidharth: Nothing much. I think men don’t need much more than a regular shampoo once in a while and make sure that your hair is not dirty and smelly after a workout at the gym. Right now, I’m styled in a look from my new film. It is an out-of-bed look.
Team MM: What is your fitness routine?
Sidharth: While working out is a given, eat home cooked food, keep it as natural or organic as possible. Have sweet potato instead of white potato or brown rice instead of white rice.
Team MM: Tell us about your next release – Hasee Toh Phasee?
Sidharth: Hasee To Phasee has Parineeti Chopra and me in the lead roles. It’s a quirky romantic comedy – very different from Student Of The Year. The character I’m playing is more my age. He’s always stressed out. He’s always harrowed. He’s a middle class boy who tries to make two ends meet.
Team MM: What’s your daily hair-care routine?
Alia: Interestingly, there are days I don’t brush my hair because I think it looks better and fuller when I don’t brush it at times. I also make it a point to do a protein treatment once in two months to replenish the roots and give my hair the nourishment it needs. I prefer to let my hair just be. I stay away from straightening it.
Team MM: What do you do to maintain your figure?
Alia: Which figure? I don’t have a figure! I don’t think I have the perfect figure yet but I love working out because it makes me feel really good and gives me a boost of confidence. I’m also on a particular diet which is very portion-controlled with little-little quantities of food.
