So I just got back from an absolutely THRILLING weekend at Della Adventure Resort and Park in Kuregaon, Khandala (on the way to Lonavala) with a bunch of my friends.
Did you know, that just a scenic two hour drive from Mumbai (through the clouds I might add!) you will find this fabulous resort and adventure park with all kinds of five star luxury and adrenaline-spiked rides? I didn’t either! But let me tell you, it was AWESOME! Here’s a peak at so many of our favourite things from everyone who came along. Now I suggest you plan your own adventure double quick and then tell me all about it! xoxo
1. LUSH & MAJESTIC.
First of all the place looks like THIS and you literally drive THROUGH the clouds to get there.
Also the rooms are super luxurious with massive bathrooms, and the beds literally feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud. Plus they’ve got Camp Della too with luxury tents on a hilltop if you’re looking for something more quaint 🙂
As soon as we got there we went on a tour and a few of our bravest even jumped on the rides!
2. I JUMP, YOU JUMP?
Andrea was the bravest of us all and the first to take the plunge!
Nowshad checked this one off his bucket list too, “Della turned out to be a great place for my first bungee jump. It’s a little less intimidating than jumping off a bridge into a ravine, but now that I’ve done it once, I’m definitely ready to graduate to bigger plunge! The instructors from New Zealand were also super friendly and reassuring, and it was fun doing it with a bunch of friends, so all in all a great experience!”

Parul & Hiren did a couples bungee jump, which we caught on video 🙂
3. ROCKET GIRL
Sanskruti decided to try the rocket ejector and took us ALL by surprise by flipping over, TWICE!
4. MAN ON A LEDGE
Mike (our resident eagle scout) was the only who who braved the rock face. He had this to say, “The equipment was all professional grade and the staff gave good instructions. The rock face was beginner-moderate, and there were a few nice ledges to push off from. Would definitely do this activity again.”
5. Holy Cow!
On our tour of the park we discovered that all the Jersey cows were named after Bollywood actresses like Rani, Katrina, Kareena and Rekha… but Rekha’s calf was (for some reason) named Victoria! Hiren thought that was hilarious and figured that maybe Rekha had gotten naughty with a firangi moo cow and described it best as “a mystery at Jimmy Mistry’s!” *Hahahaha*
6. IN THE ZONE
The Adventure Park game room was awesome too with everything from foosball and pool tables to air hockey and race cars. The boys really enjoyed ping pong and the girls had a Kinnect dance off! (And after the activities on day two all the boys took off to the spa for some R&R.)
7. GAMES & GOOD LIVING
Sid says, “I enjoyed driving the ATVs, playing pool and table tennis and all the outdoor activities we normally don’t have access to in India. I was also impressed by the rooms and massive bathrooms, adventure + luxury!”
8. GIRLY TIME!
Like Andrea says, “All fun. No stress! That’s what Della was for me. I loved that the weekend getaway left my favorite ladies and me with nothing but time for catching up over bottles of wine and staying up later than we were ever allowed to in our pajama party days.” And yes that’s Candy Crush Saga we’re playing 🙂
9. SWOOPSY DAISY!
The last time I tried something so daring it was actually IN New Zealand on my honeymoon! So I felt mighty chuffed that I took a ride on the Swoop Swing (with my BFFs for company of course.) I highly recommend you give it a whirl. It’s like being on the biggest swing in the world and I bet you can’t help but break into song, just like I did!
10. 4AM SPA TREAT!
On Saturday night we partied up a storm after a delicious dinner with our gracious host Jimmy Mistry and so Parul & I ended up hitting the spa at 4am! This was clearly her favorite thing because she came back 100% relaxed and glowing 🙂
11. FUN FOR EVERYONE!
My friend Heena (who often blogs baby Veda’s adventures & does food reviews, now has baby #2 on the way) hit the nail on the head, “I really liked how Della Adventures had something for everyone. Wether you were looking for an adrenaline rush on the bungee, to just relaxing at the spa, in the amazing in-room jacuzzi, or to entertain the baby with all the cute animals. They had it all!” Indeed they did and we can’t wait to go back!
