The closing ceremony of the 4th Jagran Film Festival saw a number of Bollywood stalwarts in various fields, receiving awards for their immense contribution to Indian cinema.
To start with, veteran actor Manoj Kumar was conferred with a lifetime achievement award while the award for the best director was given to Abhishek Kapoor. Needless to add, even his film, Kai Po Che won the best film award.
The best debut director was presented to Anand Gandhi for this film Ship of Theseus while the lovely Sridevi got the best actress award for her role in English Vinglish. Interestingly, the best actor was shared by two actors – Farhaan Akhtar for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Ranbir Kapoor for Barfi.
And finally, the special jury award was presented to Vishwaroopam for raising the bar of mainstream Indian cinema to an international level.
