Veteran costume and fashion designer, Neeta Lulla recently launched a new festive collection which pays tribute to the rich textile heritage of South India.
The new line is fashioned from traditional Kanjeevaram weaves and also features the painstaking kalamkari hand-painted art work.
Says Neeta, “This new collection is defined by simple silhouettes and I’ve embellished it with appliqué work of kanjeevaram or kalamkari art work on fabrics like silk, organza and chiffon.”
Neeta invited the very graceful Hema Malini for a preview of this new line which includes lehengas, saris, dresses, skirts, cropped tops and kurtas.
