The guest on The Front Row this week is Karisma Kapoor, who has recently turned author with her new book, the Yummy Mummy Guide. Of course, there are probably quite a few tips that she could share, but the first thing you’d wonder is how she manages to keep her children grounded – especially considering that they’d be surrounded with opulence and glamour. Anupama Chopra poses this question to her on the episode tonight, and here’s an except of her response!
Anupama: Karisma, how do you ensure that your children have a normal upbringing when their mother, aunt, uncle are all Bollywood stars?
Karisma: Actually, my kids probably think that every mother is an actress. And that’s normal because their masi is an actress, their grandparents were actors. It’s a four generation actor family. For me and Kareena, my mother and father never made us feel, “Oh, you belong to the Kapoor family or we are a very famous family.” We went to school by school bus, we ate school food, we had to do everything like every normal child does and I would like that for my children also.
