Are you or someone you know getting married soon? We can imagine that it’s an ordeal getting everything you need ready, from your clothes to your jewellery. That’s why the folks over at Araaish have created Araaish Trousseau, the 25th edition of their yearly exhibition. It’s been curated by Mana Shetty and Isha Mehra (from the Save The Children India Board of Trustees), along with mother-daughter duo Sharmila and Shaan Khanna. And it’s also for a good cause: they’ve partnered with Save The Children India, so some of the shopping you do can even benefit hearing-impaired and differently-abled children from various backgrounds.
The exhibition is running for two days – today and tomorrow (September 3rd/4th). Some of the designers are Shehlaa Khan, Shyamal and Bhumika, Anjali & Arjun Kapoor, Nidhi Tholia and Sonia Mahajan. AZA will also be displaying a bridal collection by various designers. Participating jewellers include Maheep Kapoor, Renu Oberoi, Paayal Sud, PC Totuka Sons, Tara Jewels, Srishti Jewels, Saloni Deorah and Satyani’s Jewellers.
There will also be a special Save The Children India stall, which will sell handcrafted products made by adolescent girls, who are part of the Women’s Institute for Social Education (WISE) initiative. The funds raised by the sale of these products will be allotted to Save The Children India’s Special Care Centre School for hearing-impaired and differently-abled children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Will you be dropping in? Remember, it’s on today and tomorrow!
