Though it started nearly an hour late, Troy Costa‘s show was the most fun we’ve had this season at Lakme Fashion Week. He drew inspiration for his slick, colourful creations from the 1930’s. A peppy soundtrack, and unique backdrop made for a very entertaining show!
Aside from the menswear on display, the musical theatrics really got the crowd going. First we heard the soundtrack from The Great Gatsby, and then the mood switched up with suddenly a crooner emerging from the seats singing Queen’s Crazy Thing Called Love. Soon enough a whole choir emerged from different seating areas!
Coming back to the clothes, Troy’s impeccable tailoring was in the forefront. We loved the sharply tailored jackets and trousers in hues of inky blue, mustard, and burnt orange.
The moustache brooch spotted above on model Sid Rawal was definitely a nice touch!
