The aroma of chocolate lures you to the far end of Palladium. Set amidst the Guccis and Armanis of the world is… Royce’.
Royce’ is a Japanese luxury chocolate brand that I’ve heard people raving about from all across the world.
Only when I walked into the store did I realize what the fuss was all about.
The flagship store opened in Mumbai few days ago in association with Burgundy Hospitality, owned by Avani Raheja & Samir Gadhok. Avani emanates an exuberance that reflects in her brand and her staff too. They are warm and friendly, and Avani herself greets customers and gives them a tour of the product.
The store boasts of a large range of high end chocolates, starting from their signature chocolate ‘Nama’, which comes in four flavors: Ghana Bitter, Mild Cocao, Champagne and Ecuador Sweet. Royce’ also has seasonal flavors which they are looking to add in the near future.
They have a variety of other chocolate combinations such as the potato chips coated in chocolate, chocolate almonds dusted with bitter cocoa and the ‘Prafeuille Chocolat’, which is a 3 millimeter chocolate square filled with a sweet-sour berry filling.
Price-wise, the chocolates are expensive – but if you ask me they are worth every penny.
Burgundy Hospitality is looking at launching their next outlet in Delhi later this year.
