The annual Dance With Joy concert – which featured a fabulous performance by Dharavi Girls – saw a huge turn-out of celebrities who took time out of their busy schedules to cheer on these talented young women from the slums of Dharavi in Mumbai.
The girls, who are being cared for by the Sneha Foundation, were trained by Aanchal Gupta of Arts In Motion and they performed Goonja saa hai koi iktara.
Among the guests was this pretty silver haired lady whose three sons are pretty much in the limelight these days. One was critically acclaimed for his role as an alcoholic singer in a recent film. The other married an award winning actress. And the third is known for acting out comedy roles in Bollywood films.
Haven’t guessed it by now? Here is a pic of her and her three sons:
It’s Salome Roy Kapoor – mother of Aditya, Kunal and Siddharth Roy Kapoor. She was a former Miss India (1972) and went on to be a top model in the Seventies, before the era of the supermodel. Salome also acted in a handful of films and went on to choreograph songs in a number of films – the most famous being Main Shaayar Toh Nahin from Bobby.
